Obituary of Ricardo Gonzalez Lopez

Ricardo Gonzalez Lopez, 70, of Woodville, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Tyler County Hospital in Woodville, Texas.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Ricardo was born May 24, 1955 to Zenorino and Maria Lopez Gonzalez in Valle de Santiago Guanajuato, Mexico. He was a longtime resident of Woodville and worked for NAPCO. Ricardo received his U.S. citizenship in 1986. He enjoyed being outdoor, working on cars and doing carpentry work. He was a member of the Spanish Jehovah Witness Church in Jasper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Zenorino and Maria Lopez Gonzalez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ma Elena Gonzalez of Woodville; sons, Aaron Gonzalez and wife Diana of Woodville, Gabriel Gonzalez and wife Ernestina of Silsbee, Ricardo Gonzalez of Woodville, Jorge Gonzalez of Woodville, and Enrique Gonzalez and wife Kaylon of Woodville; daughter, Carolina Gonzalez of Beaumont; sister, Sara Lopez of Matamoros, Mexico; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
