Obituary of Raymond “Ray” Louis Moore

Raymond “Ray” Louis Moore, 58 of Orange, Texas passed away Friday, February 6, 2026 at his home.

Born November 25, 1967 in Groves, Texas, Ray was the son of Charles Moore and Shirley Beck. He lived life his own way, leaving an impression on everyone who knew him through his sharp wit, strong opinions, and unmistakable personality. He was known for his dry, witty humor, his love for dogs, and the conspiracy theories he could talk about for days.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Ashley Moore (Mike) and Alyssa Murphy (Alex), his dog that left permanent imprints on his heart, Kenya; three grandchildren, Collin, Harper, and Jude Murphy; mother, Shirley Beck; brother, Jeff Moore (Mandy); sister, Tammy Moore LeBlanc (Troy); stepbrothers, John Michael Beck (Greg), Jason Beck (Angie); stepsister, Stephanie Beck Chamberlain(Trent); aunt Regina Bourgeois. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, Charles Eugene Moore; stepfather, Jerry Elbert Beck; grandmothers, Delia Bourgeois, and Margarite Moore; aunt, Floria Moore; uncle Thomas Bourgeios.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10 am, at Outlaw Bible Church, 7595 Highway 12, Vidor, Texas 77662. Family and friends are invited to gather and share stories, laughter, and memories, and to honor a life that will not be forgotten.
