Obituary of Ralph Cofty

January 25, 1943 - September 7, 2025

Graveside celebration of the life of Ralph Cofty, age 82, of Jasper, Texas, will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Davis Cemetery in the Fawil Community of Newton County, Texas.

Ralph passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Texas.

A native of Bon Wier, Texas, and longtime resident of Hardin County, Texas, Ralph had been a resident of Jasper, Texas for the past fifteen years and retired from the Hardin Independent School District after twenty years of service as a maintenance supervisor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his side-by-side and visiting with family and friends.

Ralph is survived by his brothers, Jack William Cofty and wife Frankie and Sidney Anthony Cofty and wife Cindy all of DeRidder, Louisiana; uncle, Johnny Benney Cofty and wife Virginia of Brookeland; nephew, Heith Cofty and nieces, Jackie and Stephanie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil William Cofty and Margaret Stanley Cofty; wife, Marsha Cofty and sister, Fannie Cofty.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
