Obituary of Phillip Luther Brown

July 6, 1946 - December 10, 2025

Phillip Luther Brown Phillip, age 79, of Jasper, Texas, went to be with the Lord on December 10, 2025.


Phillip was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, United States Marine Corps veteran, and faithful servant of the Lord. He proudly served as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and carried that service with honor throughout his life. His faith in Jesus Christ guided every season of his life and shaped the way he loved and cared for his family. He believed deeply in serving others, leading with humility, and honoring God through hard work, integrity, and steadfast devotion. His family was the greatest earthly blessing of his life, and he loved them with quiet strength, loyalty, and unwavering commitment.


Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Luther Brown of Jasper, Texas.


He is survived by his wife, Brenda Brown of Jasper, Texas; his daughter, Christi Brown Jones of The Woodlands, Texas; his grandchildren, Madeleine Jones and Tori Jones of The Woodlands, Texas, and Cole Hyden of Scrapping Valley, Texas; his brother, Ronnie Brown of Iola, Texas; his former sister-in-law, Nancy Brown of Spring, Texas; his nephew, Wesley Brown, and great-nephew Hudson Brown and great-niece Allison Brown of China Spring and Brady, Texas; his niece, Angela Nevlud, and her husband Kenneth Nevlud, and great-nephew Ayden Nevlud and great-niece Holly Nevlud of Magnolia, Texas; and many dear friends.


Phillip will be remembered for his steadfast faith, devotion to family, and honorable service to his country.
