Obituary of Noncie Ashworth

Noncie Ashworth, 92, of Woodville, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at Woodville Health & Rehab Center in Woodville, Texas.

A private family graveside service was held in Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville, Texas.

Noncie was born August 2, 1933 to Johnny and Elouise Hodge Yazell in Lampasas Texas as their only child. She was a longtime resident of Woodville and had worked in bookkeeping for Woodville I.S.D. Noncie loved reading, making stain glass, but most of all she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Elouise Yazell; husband of 22 years, Webb Ashworth; son, Doyle A. Barton; and son-in-law, Tommy Hensarling.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathi Hensarling of Woodville; grandchildren, Lea Ann Dean and husband, Jared of Woodville, and Clay Hensarling and wife, Sarah of Hudson; great grandchildren, Keelie Breaux, Peyton Hensarling, and Charlie Dean.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
