Obituary of Melvin Wayne Robertson

March 12, 1943 - August 18, 2025

Melvin Wayne Robertson, 82, of Kirbyville, Texas passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Trout Creek Cemetery in Call, Texas. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to service.

Born March 12, 1943 in Roanoke, Virginia to Geneva and John Robertson, he had lived in Kirbyville 48 years and was a retired paint & body repairman at Ed Bradley’s Garage in Kirbyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Desi Robertson; grandson, Billy Robertson; a sister, Barbara Cole; a brother, Frank Robertson; and lifelong friend, Roberta Robertson.

Survivors include his daughter, Hope Craft of Brookeland, TX; grandchildren, Michael Craft and Misty, Doug Craft and Andrea, Drew Craft and Shaney, Rockey Craft, and Crystal Robertson; great grandchildren, Douglas, Dusty, Madeison, Makayla, Brooklyne, Case, Makena Craft, Ethan, Savanah, Andrew, Bentley, Hailey Robertson, Daymien Dooley, and Dakoda Robertson; and 3 great-great grandchildren, Desiree, Delilah, and Jaxson.
