Obituary of Mary Martha “Totty” Cochran

Mary Martha Cochran, (Totty) age 84, of Kirbyville, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Avalon Place. She was born February 4, 1941, in Galveston Texas. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Irene May. Mary is preceded in death by her husband James Ray Cochran and brother George May.

Mary loved watching college women basketball, a sport she loved playing while in school and after. She loved camping at the lake, and watching the waves roll in at the ocean.

She is survived by her son, Ray Cochran, daughter, Terry Cochran Miller and husband Greg Miller, grandson, Colby Miller and wife Page Miller, granddaughter Casey Ludlow and husband James Ludlow, great grandchildren, Lane Miller, Jameson Ludlow and Willow Ludlow. Brothers , James May and wife Markett May, and Charles May and wife Beth May.

Mary donated her body to Baylor College of Medicine. She chose to not have a memorial service.
