Obituary of Marilyn Sue Loftin Massey

A Celebration of Marilyn Sue Lofton Massey’s Life, age 80, of Jasper, Texas, will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday November 12, 2025 at the Funeral Home.


After years of battling dementia, Marilyn has gone to be with her God, sister, Frances and Mom and Dad.


Marilyn was a strong Christian lady. She loved the Lord and worked hard to please Him. She loved her Tanglewood family and served as the church secretary, Sunday School teacher and worked with Girl’s GA’s. She visited the nursing home every week and helped anyone that needed it. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.


Marilyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Danny Massey of Jasper, Texas; sons, Stephen Massey and wife Tammy of Deer Park, Texas, Michael Alan Massey and wife Courtney of Fort Worth, Texas and Chris Massey of Kirbyville, Texas; sisters, Wanda Bennett and husband Graham and Jane Morgan and husband Carl; brothers, Herb Loftin and wife Denise of Wimer, Texas; brother-in-law, Arthur Kees and wife Billie; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Margaret Loftin and sister, Frances Kees.


She Will be missed by all. To God be the Glory.
