Obituary of Margaret Rose Sanderson

April 12, 1931 — October 11, 2025

Margaret Rose “Maggie” Sanderson, age 94, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, in Jasper, Texas. She was born on April 12, 1931, in Newport Beach, California, to Paul Keller and Elsie Rosenthal Keller, both originally from Germany.

Maggie spent the first 60 years of her life in Southern California, where she developed a love of roller skating and often took part in local amateur competitions. In 1992, she relocated with family to Brookeland, Texas, and enjoyed life surrounded by nature. Maggie had a talent for knitting and a green thumb—she was especially fond of flowers, and found joy in caring for her plants. She was a dog lover and a fan of mystery novels, reading countless titles in her later years. During the holidays, her homemade fudge was a family favorite.

She is preceded in death by her siblings William, Paul, Joanna, and Catherine Keller; her daughter-in-law, Delia Sanderson; her granddaughter, Brittany Rose-Ann Sanderson; and her only husband, Jack Ernest Sanderson.

Maggie is survived by her sons, David Paul Sanderson and wife Nora, and Rickey Lee Sanderson; her grandchildren, Jeff Sanderson and wife Chastity, Jesse Sanderson and wife Courtney, Jack Sanderson and wife Julia, and Breann Sanderson; along with ten great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Always loved and forever cherished.
