Lloyd Ray Durham, 66, of Colmesneil, a devoted husband, incredible Dad, and cherished PawPaw, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025 in Colmesneil, Texas.
Visitation will begin 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. service time on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Ebenezer Baptist Church near Jasper with burial following in Bethany Cemetery in Colmesneil. Officiating will be Brother Jeremy LeGres and Brother Gene Hazell. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronny Stephens, Bill Lewis, Jimmie Primrose, Joey Richardson, Terry Walker, and Ricky Patrick. Honorary pallbearers will be George Cowarn and Lloyd’s 8 grandchildren, Pickle, Poot Willie, Poe Dunk, Pooter Man, Pasquale, Possum, PeePee, Puddin, and Tink.
Lloyd was born December 6, 1958 to Brady and Flora Nell Perkins Durham in Waxahachie, Texas. On August 20, 1977, he married the love of his life, Stacey Durham, and together they built a beautiful life and raised three wonderful children. Lloyd spent his life working hard.
He will be remembered for his humorous personality always picking on everyone and enormous love for God, family, and friends and his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Lloyd was passionate about playing his guitar, hunting, and woodworking, but most of all, he loved his wife. His presence brough warmth and laughter to every gathering, and he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His words to us would have been “Who would of thunk it.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brady and Flora Nell Durham; siblings, Earl Durham, Laquitta Dickey, Michael Durham, Johnna Faye Durham, as well as his grandchild, Alexis “Tink” Durham.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Stacey Durham of Colmesneil; sons, Jeremy Durham and wife Tara of Lufkin, and Jonathan Durham and wife Stephanie of Lufkin; daughter, Amanda Sopikiotis and husband Dino of South Carolina; grandchildren, Madeline Du Preez and husband Daniel, Will Douglas, Joshua Durham, Matt Durham and wife Melissa, Gunnar Durham, Max Durham, Rosa Sopikiotis, and Madison Sopikiotis; sister, Nelda Leathem and husband Bill of Colmesneil; and brother-in-law, Jack Dickey of Lufkin.
Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
