Obituary of Linda D. Mincher

October 19, 1948 - October 3, 2025

Linda D. Mincher, 76, of Doucette, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble, Texas.

Visitation will begin 11 a.m. until 12 noon service time on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Colmesneil Cemetery in Colmesneil. Officiating will be Ben Priest and Jim Maddox. Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob McKinney, Josh McKinney, Jarred McKinney, Matthew Trahan, Guy Hastings, and Matt Dees.

Linda was born October 19, 1948 to Earl and Velma Ree Wainscott Humbird in Cameron, Texas. A native of Alta Loma and a former resident of Friendswood and Dickinson. She had lived in Doucette for the past 10 years. A minister in the Fountain of Life Ministries for the past 30 years. She also participated with her husband in the Tribe of Judah Motorcycle Ministries for over 39 years. She formerly enjoyed scuba diving, motorcycle riding, sailing and snow skiing. Linda loved helping people by giving them Bibles. She was an active participant in the prison ministry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Velma Humbird; daughter, Tammy Trahan; son, Daniel Trahan; sisters, Nancy Gail Wofford, and Earline Scales; nephews, Gary Rainey, Buckey Weaver, and Earnie Scales.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, John Mincher of Doucette; son, Michael Mincher of Austin; daughters, Lawanda Trahan of Doucette, and Stacy Pace of Doucette; sister, Barbara Carter and husband Don of Santa Fe; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
