Obituary of Juanita Sterling Harvey

November 12, 1938 - January 31, 2026

A Celebration of Juanita Sterling Harvey’s Life, age 87, of Jasper, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.

Juanita passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at her home in Jasper, Texas surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Woodville, Texas and former resident of Washington State, Juanita had been a resident of Jasper for 69 years. She was the manager of Mr. Q’s Self Service Gas Station. She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, crocheting, yard work and was very active in her church. Juanita loved spending time with her family.

Juanita is survived by her sons, Danny Harvey and Darrell Harvey, both of Jasper, Texas; daughter, Lorinda Lawson of Jasper, Texas; brothers, Danny Sterling and wife Annie of Comfort, Texas and Richard Sterling of Pollock, Texas; sisters, Eunice Colter of Pollock, Texas and Janie Burch of Zavalla, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Nancy Sterling; husband of 57 years, Arthur R. Harvey; son, David Harvey; daughter, Darla A. Harvey; granddaughter, Katherine D. Harvey; grandson, Billy Ray Cofty and her brothers, Lester Sterling and Floyd Sterling.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
