Obituary of Jimmy David Parish

April 20, 1955 - August 18, 2025

Jimmy David Parish, 70, of Buna died Monday, August 18, 2025 at his home in Buna.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, August 22, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with burial at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, August 21, at the funeral home.

Jimmy was born April 20, 1955 in Beaumont, Texas to D.C. and Catherine Parish. He was a lifelong resident of Buna and was a retired paper machine operator for the Paper Mill in Evadale.

He is survived by his children, Lacey Crile and husband Clinton of Vidor and Katie Smith and husband Casey of Lumberton; brother, Kenny Parish of Buna; sister, Barbara Gaines of Rosharon; grandchildren, Tristan Erwin, Zoie Erwin, Jathen Crile, Carson Crile, Cooper Crile, Carter Crile and Taryn Smith; and 1 great grandchild, Julie Jo Petrie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, D.C. and Catherine Parish, and brother, Donald "Jigaro" Parish and a sister, Patsy Shaeffer.
