Obituary of James William Payne

Jim Payne, 82, of Jasper passed away on July 27, 2025 in Jasper. Jim was born on May 31, 1943 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to B.G. & Elizabeth Payne Baird. He grew up in Sulphur Springs and was a resident of Emory, Texas prior to moving to Jasper in 2020. He retired as a sheet metal mechanic from Brant Engineering. He loved and enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his wife Barbara Payne of Jasper; son Robert Payne & wife Tracee of Lake Tawakoni; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son John Kevin Payne.
