Obituary of Ila Fay Humble

September 25, 1934 - December 7, 2025

A Celebration of Ila Fay Humble’s Life, age 91, of Jasper, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home with burial to follow at Little Hope Cemetery in Jasper, Texas. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Funeral Home.

Ila passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Rayburn Health and Rehab in Jasper, Texas.

A native of Jasper, Texas and former resident of Port Neches, Texas, Ila had been a resident of Jasper for many years. She married, Bluet Paul Humble on July 3, 1953 was a devoted wife for over 62 years, assisting Bluet in his ministry for the Lord. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Ila is survived by her sons, Stephen Humble of Jasper, Texas and Mark Humble of Nederland, Texas; brother, O.W. Mallett of Jasper, Texas; sister-in-law, Bertie Mallett of Jasper, Texas; grandchildren, Hannah Berry and husband Josh, Isaac Humble and great-granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Berry.

She was preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Vada Cook Mallett; husband of 62 years, Bluet Humble; brothers, Bernard Mallett, John Mallett, Dan Mallett, James Mallett and Willard Mallett and sisters, Lois Ward and Bernice Martindale.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
