Obituary of Grace Arleen Bruton

June 29, 1941 - January 30, 2026

Grace Arleen Bruton, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 30th, 2026, surrounded by love and the assurance of eternal life. A faithful servant of God, Grace lived a life rooted in prayer, kindness, and unwavering devotion to the Lord.


Born on June 29th, 1941, in Joaquin, Texas, Grace was a living example of Christ’s love. Her faith was not only spoken but lived daily—through generosity, humility, and a heart always willing to serve others. Whether through church involvement, quiet acts of compassion, or steadfast prayers for family and friends, Grace reflected God’s grace in all she did.


Grace cherished family deeply and found great joy in time spent with loved ones. She was known for her wisdom, gentle spirit, and the comforting presence she brought into every room. Her life was a testimony to the power of faith, love, and perseverance to leave an eternal impact.


Grace is survived by brother Charles Anderson, son Carl Bruton and wife Katie Bruton of Woodville, son Spencer Bruton and wife Twillia Bruton of Colmesneil, son Donald Bruton and wife Dixie Bruton of Colmesneil, son Darrell Bruton and wife Pam Bruton of Colmesneil, daughter Katherine Weaver and Jerald of Beaumont, son-in-law Gary Weaver of Colmesneil, son Ramon Follmar and wife Dena Follmar of Colmesneil, son Mike McCulley and wife Betty McCulley of Woodville; 18 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 6 great- great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom were richly blessed by her guidance, prayers, and unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Elton Anderson and Rachel Francies Oliver; husband Wilbert Carl Bruton; daughter-in-law Penny Bruton; and great-grandson Dylan Bruton; and sisters, Mary Ellen Harris and Reather Smalley; and brothers Lamar Anderson, Leonard Anderson, and Hubert Anderson.


Pallbearers are grandsons: Chris Bruton, Spencer Bruton, Jr., Phillip Bruton, Joey Bruton, Tyler Bruton, Daniel Bruton, and Brett Williamson.


Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 1st, from 5-8 pm at Agape Church, Colmesneil. Funeral service will be on Monday, February 2nd, at 11 am at Agape Church, Colmesneil, with a cemetery service to follow at Colmesneil Cemetery.
