Geneva Catherine Grimes, 87, of Lufkin, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in Lufkin, Texas.
A celebration of her life service will be held at a later date.
Geneva was born October 9, 1938 to Grady Eugene and Laura Aladee White Fuller in Camden, Texas. A former longtime resident of Diboll and Woodville, she had lived in Lufkin for the past 4 years. A graduate of Chester High School where she was drum major in the band and a basketball player. She went on to receive an associate degree from Angelina College. She was a registered nurse for over 40 years. Geneva enjoyed studying the Bible, fishing and hunting. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her kids and grandchildren. She was a member of Herty Baptist Church in Lufkin and former member of Campground Baptist Church in Woodville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Laura Fuller; husband of 27 years, Jerry Grimes; sister, Bonnie Holsomback; stillborn child, Laura Lee Jordan; and stillborn grandchild, Chloe Jordan.
She is survived by her daughter, Mitzi Beetham and husband Chris of Lufkin; son, Bruce Jordan of Lufkin; brother, Calvin Fuller of Corrigan, sister, Elaine Duvall and husband George of Corrigan; grandchildren, Grace Beetham, Brandon Jordan, Jake Jordan, Hunter Beetham, and Alison Brocklebank; and 4 great grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
