Gary Doyle Haley, Sr., 64, of Brookeland, Texas, passed away on June 14, 2025. Born on May 8, 1961, in Vidor, Texas, Gary lived a life marked by hard work, deep faith, and a love for family and the outdoors. Gary was the proud owner and operator of Gary Haley's Mobile Home Movers. His career in the mobile home industry spanned an impressive 45 years, beginning in 1980 when he was just 20 years old. And at age 25, he hauled his first mobile home, an accomplishment that would set the foundation for a lifelong vocation. Known throughout the community for his dedication and integrity, Gary built a reputation as a reliable and hardworking businessman who took pride in every job he undertook.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gary was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, uncle, son, and a friend to many. He is survived by his grandson Joseph Haley, sons Dylan Haley and Gary Haley Jr, brother Brent Haley, his niece April Haley, nephews Dennis Haley, Dwayne Haley, Christopher Haley, and Bryan Haley. Gary also leaves behind his grand nieces and nephews; Alexis Clayton, Lauren Haley, Charleigh Haley, Zee Haley, Cameron Haley, Avery Vice, Brooklyn Dodson, and Callen Dodson and numerous others.

He was preceded in death by his father A.C. Haley Sr., mother Betty Jo Haley, and his brothers A.C. Haley & Dennis Haley Sr.

Gary had a deep love and appreciation for Lake Sam Rayburn. Whether fishing, cruising the waters with friends to Rattlesnake Island, or simply watching the sunset from his boat or lake house porch. If he was on the lake somewhere, he was content. When not on the water, he could often be found relaxing on his back porch with his dogs or enjoying time with family and friends.

A Christian man who knew the Lord well, Gary had accepted Christ as his Savior, and his faith remained strong throughout his life. If he was still here with us, he would tell you that the keys to his success were hard work, motivation, dedication, and God guiding him along the way. To those who knew him best, Gary was more than just a businessman, he was also a mentor and role model. Known affectionately by his nieces and nephews as the "cool uncle," or Uncle Gary, and known as "Dad" or "Pawpaw" by his children and grandson; he brought joy to gatherings with family and friends with his easygoing nature and welcoming spirit. His lake house became a cherished place where loved ones gathered to spend time together and create memories.

In the last 5 years of Garys life, he got to experience the joys of being a grandpa. Gary shared a bond with his grandson that was like no other. Gary would often describe Joseph or "Jojo" as "the light of his life". He would always talk about how much he loved Jojo and how blessed he was to have him in his life. Spending time with his grandson was something he cherished tremendously.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to contact his son Dylan Haley for further information. Gary's legacy lives on through the lives he touched. With every mobile home he moved safely and efficiently, every social or family gathering, and every sunset shared with those he loved. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. He will be missed by many.
