Obituary of Elvin "Sonny" Conn

A graveside Celebration of Elvin “Sonny” Conn’s Life, age 72, of Brookeland, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at North Baptist Cemetery in Jasper, Texas.

Elvin passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Texas.

A native and lifelong resident of Brookeland, Texas, Elvin was a Veteran of the United States Marines and a retired welder. He enjoyed hunting and fast car.

Elvin is survived by his son, Cody Hooker and wife Kaitlin of Jasper, Texas; sisters, Sue Conn of Brookeland, Texas and Charlene Lee and husband Billy of Burkeville, Texas and three grandchildren, Tarren Whigham, Emma Whigham and Ezra Hooker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin Conn and Sudie Miller Conn and sisters, Carolyn and Glenda.
