Obituary of Dana Marie Best

Dana Marie Best, 83, of Warren, passed away February 21, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Silsbee, Texas, to William and Radie Jordan, she lived in Warren for many years. In 1964, she married the love of her life, Wayne Best, and spent 62 wonderful, loving years building a life and a family. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, doting on them and letting them know how proud she was of each one. When she wasn’t spending time with her grandchildren, she could be found tending to her flowers, which she truly enjoyed.

Dana was preceded in death by her father, William Benton Jordan, and her mother, Radie Inez Tunnell Jordan.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Wayne T. Best; daughters, Kim Baumgartner and husband, Mel of Warren and Kelly Lott of Warren; grandchildren, Troy Baumgartner and wife, Emily of Warren, Amy Ard and husband, Trey of Fred, Ryan Lott of Washington, D.C. and Wyatt Lott of Warren; great grandchildren, James Ard and Catherine Ard both of Fred; brother, Dan Jordan of Spurger; sisters, Linda Dean of Woodville, Mary Nell Adams of Warren, Jody Owens of Houston, Lucy Parker of Livingston and a host of other family members and friends.
