Obituary of Colinda Faye Church

September 10, 1962 - January 11, 2026

Colinda Faye Church, 63, of Buna died Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Memorial service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, January 14, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Colinda was born September 10, 1962 in Woodville, Texas to Aubrey Ray and Beverly (Adams) Russell. She was a longtime resident of Buna and was a retired teacher for Buna ISD.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Church of Buna; father, Aubry Russell of Woodville; son, Cody Church and Marcie of Buna; daughters, Casey Schlabs and Jonathan of Lumberton and Shelby Gingery and Isaac of Buna; brother, Clifford Russell and Sarah of Woodville; sisters, Teresa Foster and Robert of Beaumont; Dana Swearingen and Jerry of Lufkin; and Rochele Cole and Chris of Lufkin; 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren; father and mother-in-law, Marvin Q. and Frances Church of Evadale; brother-in-law, Eddie Church of Houston; and sister-in-law Debbie Jordan of Evadale.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Russell, and a granddaughter, Summer Smith.
