Obituary of Cherry Stephens

July 15, 1955 - September 23, 2025

Cheryl Lynne "Cherry" Stephens, 70, of Buna died Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 26, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with burial at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Born July 15, 1955 in Kirbyville to Emmett Sparks and Joyce (Walley) Richardson, she was a lifelong resident of Buna and was retired from the Texas Department of Corrections, Stiles Unit.

She is survived by her daughters, April Sarver of Buna and Amber Sarver and husband Jeremy of Buna; father, Emmett Sparks of Kirbyville; brother, Darryl Sparks and Naretha of Buna; sisters, Sonda Landry and Wayne of Dallas and Mandy Richardson of Tyler; and 7 grandchildren, Brandon Sarver, Asia JoyceLynne Jackson, Kestin Sarver, London Jackson, Malakhi Jackson, Slayden Sarver and Bastian Sarver.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Richardson; husband, Roland Dean Stephens; and sisters, Wanda Hayes and Misty Santel.
