Obituary of Charles Elton Jones

December 12, 1934 - February 23, 2026

Charles Elton Jones, 91 of Kirbyville passed away Monday, February 23, 2026 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral service will be 10 am, Friday, February 27, 2026, at Kirbyville Church of Christ with burial at Magnolia Springs. Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Thursday, February 26th at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.

Born August 12, 1934, in Kirbyville to James Jones and Verbie (Everage), he served in the Navy. He worked for Kirbyville Auto Parts and Supply from 1960- 1970. He also worked for Jasper Newton Electric Co-op until his retirement. After retirement, he spent his time farming.

He is survived by children, Peggy Jones of Kirbyville, Karen Hensley of Pearland, Craig Griffin of North Carolina; brother, Johnny Jones of Kirbyville; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents; brother, James, Napoleon, Buddy, Robert; sisters, Laura Jackson, Eva Rae Davis, Kat Davis, Rosetta Bush, Verla Mae Smith, Nancy Page.
