Obituary of Barbara Faye Johnston

Barbara Faye Johnston, of Kempner, Texas, born July 9, 1944 to Don and Mary Lou Fox, passed away peacefully Monday, December 1, 2025, at age 81.

She is survived by her son Jerry Wayne Johnston, and wife Holly of Kirbyville, Texas. Her grandchildren Douglas Curry, and wife Morgan of Nederland, Texas. Makayla Wellman, and husband Brandon of Kirbyville, Texas. Her great-grandchildren Xander, Teagan, and Tucker Wellman of Kirbyville, Texas. Her mother, Mary Lou Fox of Midlothian, Texas. Her brother Lyndon Fox, and wife Stuart Anne of Brownfield, Texas. Her sister Mary Lou Congleton, and husband Steve of Cedar Hill, Texas. Several nieces and nephews as well.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Claude “Chuck” Johnston. Her dad Don Fox, and two brothers Jerry Fox, and Dale Fox.
