Newton VFD hosted mandatory safety classes today

Newton Volunteer Fire Dept hosted two classes today at Newton City Hall.

Departments from Bon Wier Fire Department , Devil' Pocket VFD, Lake Rayburn Fire Department we're also in attendance.

These classes are mandated by the State Firefighters' and Fire Marshals' Association of Texas.

Taking Action Against Cancer- This is a big issue the fire service is now facing. It has been rated #1 in firefighters deaths in the nation.

Safe Practice Traffic Inc- a course in conducting safe practices on highway incidents.
