Newton man set ablaze during disturbance Wednesday

NEWTON, TX-
Newton Police were called out Tuesday evening at around 4:30 pm to 105 Forward Street regarding a disturbance that had become extremely violent.
According to Newton Police Chief Will Jackson, the disturbance ended after someone poured gasoline on a man, and set him on fire.
Jackson said that the victim was identified as 33-year-old Marlin Forward of Newton. Forward was airlifted to the burn center in Galveston. His condition is currently unknown.
Jackson said that there is no additional information available and no suspect at this time. The case is still under investigation
