Students from Newton Independent School District recently volunteered their time at Newton Food Share, assisting with organizing and packing food for local families in need. The group worked together to prepare supply boxes and help stock pantry shelves, demonstrating a strong sense of community and leadership.
The initiative is part of Newton ISD’s ongoing effort to promote civic responsibility and real-world learning experiences. By participating in local service projects like this, students gain valuable lessons in empathy, teamwork, and public service.
Newton Food Share plays a vital role in supporting families throughout the area, and the help from these students makes a noticeable difference in day-to-day operations. Their efforts reflect the district’s continued commitment to community engagement and student development beyond academics.
