Newton ISD Hosts Annual Community Prayer Walk Ahead of New School Year

Newton ISD will hold its annual Prayer Walk on Sunday, August 10, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at all three campuses—elementary, middle, and high school.

Sponsored by local churches, this community-wide event invites families, staff, and neighbors to walk through the school buildings and pray over the students, faculty, and the upcoming academic year. Participants are encouraged to leave notes of encouragement on classroom doors as a tangible way to uplift and support teachers and staff.

This heartfelt tradition reflects the theme “Stronger Together” and serves as a powerful show of unity and support for Newton ISD.
