Newton County Sheriff Colton Havard arrested man flagged as 'armed and dangerous' on parole violations

At 9:05 Saturday evening, Newton Sheriff Colton Havard was patrolling Cr 4055 otherwise known as the Singletary Sites area. During his patrol, Havard stopped a vehicle for several traffic violations.

The driver, identified as Trenton Stark was found to have had a number of encounters with law enforcement. Once Havard checked Starks license, he discovered that he had a warrant for his arrest issued by Texas Pardon and Parole. Havard also discovered that Stark had been flagged to be armed and dangerous, and had violent tendencies. However, Stark was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Newton County Jail.
