Newton 4th Grader Cadence Rivera Wins Statewide Art Contest Recognition

Cadence Rivera, a talented 4th grader and proud member of the NES Art Club, has been named a winner in the 29th Annual “Treasures of the Texas Coast” Children’s Art Contest.

Out of more than 1,000 entries from across the state, Cadence’s artwork rose to the top—earning her a spot among the top 40 selected pieces that will be officially published by the state of Texas.

Winners were chosen across four grade-level categories, and Cadence represented the 3rd–4th grade division with creativity and excellence.
