A typical summertime weather pattern is forecast for Southeast Texas during the next seven days.
Normally during summer, we see a 30% coverage of afternoon showers and thunderstorms with highs in the lower to middle 90s…and this is close to what we expected.
Higher chances (about a 40% coverage) are expected Friday and Sunday due to favorable upper-level winds, moisture, daytime heating and lack of capping. Otherwise, a 20-30% coverage can be expected each day with highs in the lower 90s.
Nothing is expected in the gulf during the next seven days which would take us through Wednesday the 13th.

Upper level disturbances, daytime heating, lack of capping and ample moisture will result in a little elevated chances (40%) Friday and Sunday.

Normally during summer, Southeast Texas sees about a 30% coverage of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. We expect a littler higher than normal chances Friday and Sunday.

Dexter and the two other areas in the Atlantic will not enter the gulf. We expect a quiet gulf through the next seven days (Wednesday the 13th).
