Medical emergency is to blame for one vehicle accident in Kirbyville

At 3:46 Wednesday afternoon, Kirbyville Volunteer Fire Department, Kirbyville Police Department, and Jasper EMS were called to North Hwy 96 and W. Stringer in Kirbyville for a single vehicle accident.


According to dispatch, the driver of a 2022 Nissan 4 door car, a 55-year-old

Kirbyville man, suffered a seizure or other type of medical emergency and ran off the road striking the lift station at the corner of the road way.


Jamie Odom with the City of Kirbyville said that the damage was minimal and everything was up and running relatively quickly.


The unidentified man was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
