Martin Dies Jr. State Park Offers Full Slate of Family-Friendly August Events

Martin Dies Jr. State Park has released its August event calendar, packed with exciting nature programs, art activities, and outdoor adventures for all ages.
From alligator talks and creepy crawlies to leaf art and silent retreats, there’s something happening nearly every day—especially on weekends. Popular programs like the Hike on Island Trail, Bird Watching, and the Snake Program continue to draw families, nature lovers, and curious kiddos.
All Saturday and Thursday morning events will take place at the Park Amphitheater on the Walnut Ridge side, while other programs will be held at the Education Center.
