Man arrested for felony assault in Buna

Early Monday morning at 3:25 a.m., Jasper County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to Oak Street in Buna regarding a physical disturbance.
It was discovered that 36-year-old Jassmine Tywan Hancock of Buna, had physically assaulted his child's mother and at one point, choking her, impeding her ability to breath.
Hancock was arrested based upon statements received at the scene as well as physical evidence. He was charged with Assault Family Violence Impede Breath/Circulation, which is a 3rd Degree Felony, and was transported to the Jasper County Jail.
As always, Hancock is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
