Major Cocaine Seizure in Warren: $43,433 Cash and Truck Confiscated in Multi-Agency Operation

WARREN, Texas — A joint operation between the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Tyler County District Attorney’s Office led to a major drug seizure and felony arrest late last week.
According to the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and DPS agents conducted a traffic stop on October 29 at the intersection of FM 1943 East and FM 3290 in Warren. A Dodge pickup driven by Terry Foster, 49, of Warren was stopped as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
During the search of the truck, agents reportedly located:
Over 400 grams of cocaine
Approximately $30,000 in U.S. currency
Following the traffic stop, investigators executed a search warrant at Foster’s residence in the Warren area. Inside the home, agents reportedly seized:
5 grams of Hydrocodone pills
1 gram of crack cocaine
Digital scales and items believed to be used for converting cocaine into crack and packaging narcotics for distribution
In total, approximately $43,433 in cash was seized, along with Foster’s 2016 Dodge Ram truck, which is now subject to forfeiture.
Foster was booked into the Tyler County Jail on four counts of Felony Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.Justice of the Peace Tina Self set bonds totaling $650,000. Investigators stated that additional money laundering charges may be forthcoming.
Sheriff Bryan Weatherford praised the coordinated effort, saying the seizure reflects strong cooperation between agencies working to prevent narcotics distribution in the region.
“This case is an excellent demonstration of teamwork between the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, Texas DPS, and the Tyler County District Attorney’s Office,” Weatherford said.
The investigation is ongoing.
