Kirbyville woman stopped for signal violation, arrested for meth

Buna, Tx- On March 7, at approximately 12:03 AM, a Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of US 96 and SH 62 in Buna for a signal violation. The deputy made contact with the driver and identified her as Wendy Street, 51, of Kirbyville.

The deputy identified signs of criminal activity and received permission to search the vehicle . That's when he discovered 5 bags of a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamines.
Ms. Street was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (F2) and brought to the Jasper County Jail. Ms. Street is already on Felony Probation for another drug charge.
Ms. Street is in innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
