Jasper County, Texas — A Kirbyville man was taken into custody Wednesday night after deputies say he threatened family members with a knife during a disturbance call.

According to Sheriff Chuck Havard, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office responded on December 4, 2025, at approximately 8:08 p.m., to the 8000 block of County Road 451 in Kirbyville for reports of a disturbance involving a weapon.

Deputy Tipton arrived on scene and identified the suspect as Jeremiah Beck, 38, of Kirbyville. Through their investigation, deputies learned that Beck allegedly produced a knife and threatened to harm family members inside the residence.

Beck was arrested at the scene and transported to the Jasper County Jail. He is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony.

Sheriff Havard noted that Beck is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

“The men and women of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office remain committed to combating criminal activity and keeping our communities safe,” Havard said.
