Kirbyville High School Student of the Week: May 5-9, 2025

Kirbyville High School is proud to recognize Lainey Kent, a standout junior, as this week’s Student of the Week.

Lainey is a shining example of dedication and excellence at KHS. She is actively involved in Student Council, the National Honor Society, the Health Science Club, and the CNA program—balancing academic and extracurricular commitments with grace. She currently holds an impressive rank of 3rd in her class.

A natural leader, Lainey serves as Co-Captain of the KHS Cheer Team and competes on the track team, where she recently broke the school record in the 2-mile run and also contributed to a record-setting 4x400 relay team.

Beyond the classroom and athletics, Lainey was recently crowned 2025 Miss Kirbyville, a testament to her poise, character, and commitment to representing her school and community.

Described as respectful, hardworking, and a bright light on campus, Lainey truly exemplifies the Wildcat spirit. She was selected by the Student of the Week Committee for her outstanding achievements and leadership.
