The Kirbyville High School Student of the Week Committee wrapped up the academic year with a special luncheon on Monday, May 12, held at Cedar Tree Restaurant in Jasper.
The event celebrated the outstanding seniors who were recognized throughout the year as Student of the Week. Attendees were treated to lunch, participated in prize raffles, and gathered for one final surprise—the announcement of the KHS Student of the Year.
The committee proudly named Senior Waylon LeBouef as Kirbyville High School’s 2024 Student of the Year.

Waylon has consistently demonstrated leadership, resilience, and a strong commitment to excellence during his time at KHS. His dedication both inside and outside the classroom earned him recognition among a highly respected group of senior honorees.
Following graduation, Waylon will take the next bold step in his journey by enlisting in the United States Navy—a path that reflects his courage and selfless service.
The entire Kirbyville CISD community extends its gratitude and congratulations to Waylon as he prepares to serve our country.
