A Jasper student is being recognized for academic excellence at Midwestern State University following the Fall 2025 semester.
Emily Shierry of Jasper, a Psychology major at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, earned placement on the Dean’s Honor Roll, an achievement that reflects strong academic performance and dedication throughout the semester.
Midwestern State University recently announced that 1,075 students were recognized on its academic honor rolls for Fall 2025. Honors are divided into three categories — President’s Honor Roll, Provost’s Honor Roll, and Dean’s Honor Roll — based on grade point average and course completion.
To qualify for the Dean’s Honor Roll, students must complete at least 12 credit hours during the semester while maintaining a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.74, with no grade lower than a C and no incomplete or failing grades.
University officials said the honor rolls highlight students who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to their studies.
Shierry’s recognition adds to the list of local students continuing to represent Jasper and the surrounding East Texas community at colleges and universities across the state.
