JASPER, Texas — The South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (SETRPC) will host a public meeting in Jasper on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Jasper County Annex Building, 271 East Lamar Street.
The meeting is part of a series across Southeast Texas to gather input on the Metropolitan Transportation Plan 2050 (MTP-2050), Amendment #2 Draft, the FY 2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), Amendment #2 Draft, and Transportation Conformity.
“These meetings give citizens a direct opportunity to share their ideas and concerns about transportation issues in our region,” said Bob Dickinson, Director of Transportation and Environmental Resources for SETRPC. “Public input is essential to ensure that the needs of Southeast Texas are properly addressed.”
While several meetings are scheduled in other counties, Jasper residents are encouraged to attend the October 7th session locally. Written comments will also be accepted until 5:00 PM CST on Friday, October 17, 2025.
For more information, or to request special accommodations (48 hours in advance), contact Bob Dickinson at (409) 899-8444 extension 7520 or bdickinson@setrpc.org
SETRPC serves as the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Jasper, Jefferson, Orange, and Hardin Counties, coordinating long-range, multi-modal transportation planning for the region.
