Jasper man hospitalized with life threatening injuries following motorcycle accident
The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated a crash on U.S. Highway 190, just east of the Newton County line, that occurred Wednesday, January 31.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 5 p.m., a 2008 Honda motorcycle was traveling west. It is reported that the driver was traveling at a speed which was unsafe and began to pass another vehicle, when he lost control and traveled into the north ditch, where he struck a sign and laid the motorcycle over.
The driver, identified as 47-year-old Dustin Crawford of Jasper, was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
