JASPER, Texas — Jasper Independent School District will conduct a Multi-Scenario Emergency and Reunification Drill on Friday, October 10, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., in partnership with local law enforcement agencies and first responders.
According to Superintendent John Seybold, the large-scale training exercise is part of the district’s ongoing commitment to safety and emergency preparedness. The drill is designed to give district staff and emergency personnel the opportunity to practice coordinated responses in the event of a real-life emergency on school campuses.
During the exercise, residents may notice emergency vehicles near Jasper High School and Few Primary, as well as school buses traveling between campuses and a designated reunification site. Seybold emphasized that this is a training exercise only, and no students will be involved, since October 10 is a Staff Work Day and student holiday.
“The goal of this exercise is to ensure our district is fully prepared to respond effectively in an emergency, prioritize student and staff safety, and reunite families in an organized and efficient manner,” Seybold stated.
Jasper ISD thanked the community for its understanding and support as the district continues efforts to strengthen safety and emergency response readiness.
