Jasper ISD Sees Significant Gains in State Accountability Ratings

JASPER, Texas — Jasper ISD is celebrating major academic gains across all four campuses following the release of the 2024–2025 Texas Education Agency accountability ratings. Superintendent John Seybold says the results reflect the dedication of students, staff, and the community.
“Today, we received our official scores from TEA for all Jasper ISD campuses, and we couldn’t be more proud,” Seybold said. “The hard work of our students, staff, and community is truly paying off, with growth at every campus. While there is still more to be done, it’s exciting to see all the pieces coming together.”
District-Wide Progress
Few Primary — Improved from an F (52) in 2024 to a B (86) in 2025
Parnell Elementary — Improved from an F (52) to a B (86)
Jasper Junior High — Increased from a D (64) to a D (67)
Jasper High School — Improved from a C (79) to a B (81) and earned an A in College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) with a scale score of 93
Expanded Student Opportunities
Dual credit enrollment up 60% since 2020
Class of 2025 earned 830 dual-credit college hours and 230 industry-based certifications
Class of 2025 awarded $2.9 million in scholarships
All dual credit courses offered at no cost to students

Parnell Elementary — Top 25% Comparative Academic Growth; Top 25% Comparative Closing the Gaps
What’s Driving the Growth
JISD credits strategic interventions, new instructional coaching, and data-driven instruction for the improvements. Initiatives like “Focus Friday” and high-quality instructional materials are in place district-wide, with student-centered practices at Jasper High and Junior High designed to better prepare students for college and careers.
