Jasper ISD mourns the loss of a coach and teacher

Jasper, TX Jasper Independent School District is mourning one of their own with the passing of 42-year-old Ramanda Hafford.

Jasper ISD Superintendent, John Seybold said that Hafford was a beloved Junior High teacher and coach at both the Junior High and High School.

According to Seybold, Hafford "faithfully served Jasper ISD for over 18 years, dedicating herself to the growth and success of her students both in the classroom and on the field. She impacted countless lives with her passion, kindness, and unwavering commitment to our school community".

Hafford leaves behind three loving children, a husband, and her mother and father. Both parents are staff members at Jasper ISD and her husband was a former staff member there.

Seybold asked, "Please keep Raymanda’s family, her students, and her colleagues in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time".

Counselors will be available on campus for students and staff beginning Monday and throughout the week.
