The burn ban has been lifted. Please remember to burn safely. Thank you for your cooperation and compliance during the burn ban. It is greatly appreciated.
I’d like to thank the folks at Tractor Supply for the generous donation they made to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. We are honored that Tractor Supply’s Hometown Heroes Foundation chose us for this award. We will ensure the money is spent wisely.
We’d also like to thank Pastor Charles Adams and his members of Touch and Power of God church in Jasper. They provided smoked links, chips, and soft drinks for our staff and inmates. We are thankful for our community members who provide meals for our inmates.
On October 29th, 2025, Deputy Gray and Kirbyville Officer Goings made contact with a suspicious vehicle located at Ellis Truck and Trailer Parts in Kirbyville which was closed at the time. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Matthew Gene Haskins, 44, of Kirbyville. While speaking with Haskins, Deputy Gray had reason to believe that narcotics were in the vehicle and asked for consent to search, which was given. During the search, Methamphetamines were located. The passenger of the vehicle, Casey Renee Laurent, 33 of Silsbee, was found to have 12 warrants from the City of Kirbyville. Both denied knowledge of the suspected Methamphetamines. Both were arrested for Possession Controlled Substance PG<1g (State Jail Felony). They were transported to the Jasper County Jail.
On October 30th, 2025, Tolbert Healey, 59, of Brookeland, was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography, over 50 visual depictions (1st Degree Felony) following an investigation by the Texas Attorney General’s Child Exploitation Unit and Crime Investigators Division with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. A search warrant was executed and more than 50 visual depictions of child pornography were located on a computer. Healey was transported to the Jasper County Jail.
On October 31st, Jasper County Deputies Roy and Kaylor were dispatched to the Shell Convenience Store in Buna in reference to a verbal disturbance. While in route, they were given a description of the suspect’s vehicle. The deputies were also alerted that the suspect would be armed. The vehicle was located in the Brookshire Brothers parking lot. The suspect was identified as Timothey Joe Jeane Jr., 39, of Kirbyville. While speaking to Jeane, he admitted to having a pistol in the vehicle. Jeane was confirmed to be a convicted felon. He was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felony 3) and transported to the Jasper County Jail.
All individuals listed are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
On behalf of myself, the staff and our inmates at JCSO, we are extremely appreciative of the overwhelming amount of support we have throughout our county, from our churches to our businesses and from our everyday citizens. It motivates us to all work harder. It’s an honor to lead our employees and it is certainly an honor representing the people of our county as the Sheriff.
Respectfully,
Chuck Havard
Jasper County Sheriff
