BUNA, Texas — The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, working in coordination with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, arrested a Buna man Tuesday who was wanted on a federal probation violation warrant.
According to JCSO, deputies and Marshals responded to the 11000 block of Highway 62 in Buna on December 2, 2025, in an attempt to locate John Allen Wilcox, 54, who was the subject of an active Federal Probation Violation Warrant.
Wilcox was not found at the initial residence. As deputies traveled to a secondary location, they spotted him driving along FM 2246. A traffic stop was conducted, and Wilcox was taken into custody without incident.
He was immediately transferred into federal custody.
Sheriff Chuck Havard emphasized the importance of multi-agency cooperation, stating that the department “values its strong partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.”
