JASPER COUNTY, Texas — Jasper County Sheriff’s Office deputies hit the streets today in their brand-new uniforms, marking a fresh chapter in the department’s appearance and professionalism.
The updated look includes new uniforms, badges, and shoulder patches — a project Sheriff Chuck Havard says has been in the works since January.
“These uniforms, weapons, and accessories were purchased with prisoner reimbursement funds and a weapon seizure account,” Havard said. “They give us a fresh, new look, and we will wear them with pride. I think the people of Jasper County will be proud of them, too.”
The Sheriff added that the department will begin carrying new leather gear and holsters as soon as those items arrive.
