JASPER COUNTY — Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Karli Cherry has been appointed to the Advisory Board of Child Abuse & Forensic Services, Inc. (CAFS) in Beaumont.
CAFS, the first private Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) facility in Texas, provides forensic services and support to law enforcement agencies across Southeast Texas in sexual assault and child abuse cases.
Sheriff Chuck Havard praised CEO Brenda Garrison and her staff for their “invaluable expertise” in helping protect victims and hold offenders accountable.
Havard will continue serving on the CAFS Board of Directors, while Cherry will represent the sheriff’s office as a voting advisory board member.
“It is imperative that the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office has a seat at every table we can,” Havard said. “We are committed to providing the citizens of Jasper County the very best law enforcement service and support they deserve.”
Havard congratulated Cherry on the appointment, calling it an important accomplishment both for her and for the agency.
