Jasper County Sheriff's Office assists Hays County Texas Rangers with Search Warrant in Buna

Yesterday, June 30th, a San Marcos man was arrested in Jasper County following a fire investigation in Wimberly, Texas.

The fire occurred over the weekend at Savage’s Bar and Grill in Wimberly that left one person injured. This ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Texas Rangers and the Hays County Fire Marshal’s Office.

Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard said that Jasper County Investigators assisted the Hays County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Texas Rangers in executing the search warrant in the 500 block of County Road 737 in Buna where 24-year-old Aiden Dwyer was taken into custody.

Dwyer was charged with Arson Causing Injury or Death with a $200,000 bond. Dwyer has since been extradited to Wimberly.

As always, this individual is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
